Endoscopic paranasal sinuses surgery is a treatment with the use of microsurgery. It consists in clearing the ostiomeatal complex. It is a place in the nasal cavity where the mouth of three sinuses converges: frontal, maxillary and nasal. The continuous drainage and ventilation of sinuses is essential for proper functioning. If the outlets are blocked, e.g. by oedema as a result of inflammation, the patient starts to complain about chronic recurrent sinusitis. In the cavity of the sinuses there is a pathological secretion, which causes ailments.

Przebieg zabiegu
During the procedure, an endoscope is inserted into the nasal cavity – a small, flexible tube. It is finished with a camera, thanks to which the surgeon gets into ostiomeatal complex visual control. It can also assess other tissues and structures in the nasal cavity. Small micro-tools are then inserted, which can be used to precisely remove changed tissues. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. Economical tissue removal and restored drainage of the sinuses supports rapid recovery. The patient can return home after surgery on the same day.
