Informacje o zabiegu
The most commonly used and effective treatment of Dupuytren’s disease is surgical treatment. It consists in incision or cutting out scar aponeurosis that cause permanent bending of the finger. The most frequently performed operation is fasciotomy. The surgeon incisions the skin of fingers and hands and then removes thickened tissue, which forms so-called “strips”. The operation is usually performed under local anaesthesia, the patient is fully conscious, only the place of surgery is anaesthetized. Unfortunately, there is a recurrence of the disease. The second contracture, the young age of patient, affects dermophasciotomy. This is less risky of recurrent. It is a much more difficult procedure performed under general anaesthesia; the patient is put to sleep for the time of surgery. It consists in the removal of thickened bands of aponeurosis, as well as skin cutouts. The missing fragment of skin is replaced by an autologous graft taken from the groin or hand. The price of procedure depends on the deformation degree and the extent of procedure.
